Get together with like-minded people!
The Meigle and District History Society aims to gather and share with its members the history relating to the village and Parish of Meigle, and the surrounding area where appropriate.
It hosts a series of indoor meetings during the winter months (usually September to November and then January to March) which include research projects and reports as well as speakers on local interest and/or historical events (not necessarily local).
Meetings are usually held on the fourth Wednesday of the month in the Kinloch Arms Hotel, The Square, Meigle.
In addition, one or more summer visits of historical interest may be organised.
Any suggestions for future speakers and/or visits are always welcomed, especially if it comes from a speaker willing and able to speak on a history topic relevant to the locality!
The Society is open to all with annual membership running between the September meetings at a cost of £5 per person. Non-members are welcome to attend any of our meetings for which any donations will be gratefully received.
