Perth and Kinross Council publishes information on its waste, recycling and uplift services on its website here:

Locally, the following services are in operation:
Glass
Glass can be recycled at the bottle bank situated beside Kinloch Memorial Hall, Dundee Road, Meigle PH12 8SD.
It is no longer necessary to separate different colours of glass in these bins but please make sure that glass is clean, and that lids and tops are removed.
These bins are generally emptied on Sunday mornings (by which time they are usually quite full).
Bin collection days (Meigle and Ardler)
Green-lidded bins are collected every second Monday, with the intervening weeks alternating between blue-lidded and grey-lidded bins. Brown-lidded bins are collected every second Friday.
You can view specific dates in the table (right) - click on it to expand it and print it out.
(Please remember these dates are subject to change depending on bad weather, roadworks and public holidays)

Local transport
Stagecoach operates the 57/57A bus services in both directions between Dundee and Perth (via Meigle, Alyth, Blairgowrie and Coupar Angus)

JP Minibuses operates the 125 bus service to Forfar, via Newtyle, Kirkinch, Eassie and Glamis.

There is currently no bus service to Ardler.
Libraries
Libraries
Perth and Kinross Council operates a mobile library service which visits Meigle Square every third Tuesday from 11am to midday.
Dates for the remainder of 2025 are as follows:

9th December

The RBS Mobile Branch visits the Spar car park in Meigle every Thursday between 1.10pm and 1.40pm. More information can be found here: RBS Mobile Branch, Meigle
