Refuse and Recycling
Perth & Kinross Council publish all general information regarding their waste, recycling and uplift services on the their website here:

Locally, the following services are in operation:
Glass
Glass can be recycled at the bottle bank situated beside Kinloch Memorial Hall, Dundee Road, Meigle PH12 8SD.
It is no longer necessary to separate different colours of glass in these bins. Please just make that glass is clean, and that lids and tops are removed.
These bins are generally emptied on Sunday mornings (by which time they are usually quite full).
Bin collection days (Meigle and Ardler)
Green-lidded bins are collected every second Mondays, with the intervening weeks alternating between blue-lidded and grey-lidded bins.
Brown-lidded bins are collected every second Friday.
You can view dates in the adjoining table - click on it to expand it and print it out.
(Please remember these dates are subject to change depending on bad weather, roadworks and public holidays)

Local transport
Stagecoach operate the 57/57A bus services in both directions between Dundee and Perth (via Meigle, Alyth, Blairgowrie and Coupar Angus)

JP Minibuses operate the 125 bus service to Forfar, via Newtyle, Kirkinch, Eassie and Glamis.

There is currently no bus service to Ardler village.

Libraries
Perth and Kinross Council operate a mobile library service which visits Meigle Square every 3rd Tuesday from 11am - 12 midday
Visit days for the remainder of 2025 are as follows:

9th December
The nearest library for daily access is in Airlie St, Alyth: Alyth Library

The RBS Mobile Branch visits th Spar Car Park in Meigle every Thursday between 1.10pm and 1.40pm: RBS Mobile Branch, Meigle
