The Ardler Village Hall site, which was gifted to the community in 1953, has been derelict for more than twenty years.
As highlighted in the Meigle and Ardler Community Action Plan, there is an aspiration to regenerate the land and transform it into a new community hub that serves this generation and the next - and we’re working on efforts to achieve that.
The idea is to create a space that will enable the community to get together, hold events and attract visitors to the village, fostering connections and conversations.
The site is located in the heart of the village of Ardler, just off the walking and cycling friendly routes in the area, and could contribute to encouraging active travel for leisure in the area.
Following extensive consultation both as part of the development of the community action plan and on ideas specifically for this site, we have engaged architects to come up with some proposals and are keen to hear your thoughts. We’ve also applied for planning consent.
Can you help?
If you have a few hours a week to spare, would like to be part of the local community in Ardler and make a positive difference to life in the village, we would love to hear from you!
