There are lots of ways to support MACDT and the work we do in our community, one of which is becoming a member of the Trust.
Becoming a member means that you can have a real input into helping determine the future of Meigle and Ardler. You will be able to vote at our AGMs helping to shape the direction of the Trust and its work, elect Trustees - and of course be eligible for a seat on the Board of Trustees.
Some of our projects rely on the generous assistance of local volunteers to help us with things like grounds and building maintenance or delivering newsletters - as well as active participation in initiatives such as the wonderful Community Shed - and all of our volunteers must be members of MACDT to ensure that they are covered by the Trust's public liability insurance whilst carrying out work on its behalf.
We have three types of membership:
Ordinary member – for people aged 16 years or over who are ordinarily resident in the community. Ordinary members have full voting rights including electing directors
Associate member – for those individuals who are not ordinarily resident in the community but support the work of the Trust. Associate members have no voting rights
Junior member – for people aged between 12 and 15 years old. Junior members are not eligible to stand for election to the Board or to vote at any general meeting.
Membership is free. If you would like to become a member or a volunteer, please fill out the form below. Thank you!
